The Festival of Chamber Music (formerly named as “I Concerti dell’Ateneo” and then “Genova Musica Antica”) is the concert event that the Collegium Pro Musica Association has been organizing for more than ten years: launched in 1994, dedicated to the great chamber music with a special predilection for the baroque and classical repertoire, it is the most important summer event in Genoa in the field of the classical and baroque music. The Festival will take place from mid-June until the end of July in some historical or prestigious places in the centre of the cities of Genoa and Savona. Formerly organized only in Genoa, the Festival has then expanded to Savona and, today, it has consolidated itself as a concert event proposing soloists and bands of international level coming from all over Italy, from Europe and the United States. The concert activity of the Association does not end in the city of Genoa, or in the region of Liguria. Since 2001, the Collegium Pro Musica has been organizing in the city of Turin another important event, named as “Le Vie del Barocco” ("the Baroque Ways"), a cycle of concerts dedicated to the music repertoire of the XVII and XVIII centuries, expressly thought for the city of Turin in its capacity as the Baroque capital of Northern Italy. From 2007 the Festival of Turin has been incorporated in the Genoa International Festival of Chamber Music - now taking place in the three towns of Genoa, Turin and Savona - and transfered to it his denomination "Le Vie del Barocco".
