Versione Italiana
The Festival of Chamber Music (formerly named as “I Concerti dell’Ateneo” and then “Genova Musica Antica”) is the concert event that the Collegium Pro Musica Association has been organizing for more years: launched in 1994, dedicated to the great chamber music with a special predilection for the baroque and classical repertoire, it is the most important summer event in Genoa in the field of the classical and baroque music.
The Festival takes place in prestigious venues of the centre of the cities of Genoa, Savona and Chiavari. Formerly organized only in Genoa, the Festival has then expanded to Savona and Chiavari and has been organized for ten years (2001-2011) even in the city of Turin. Today it has consolidated itself as a concert event proposing soloists and groups of international level coming from all over Italy, Europe and America.

Although the concert activity of the Association is more intense in summer, we have been proposing music even in autumn and winter. In 2000/2001 and in 2003 we have organized in Genoa the cycle “Note d’Inverno/Inverno Musicale” (Winter notes/Musical Winter), whereas in 2003/2004 were organized the “Concerti a Palazzo” (Concerts in the Palace) – Music in the Rolli Palaces and in the Genoese patrician Villas. The winter concerts went on from 2004-2005, with the new name “Concerti nei Palazzi e nelle Chiese” (Concerts in the Palaces and in the Churches).

Active since 1990, the Association Collegium Pro Musica was legally established in Genoa in 1993 with the aim of promoting classical music and baroque and early music, with particular reference to the organization of concerts and music education.
In more than twenty consecutive years of activity, has taken care of the organizational management and the art direction of various festivals, exhibitions, courses, seminars and competitions, both in Genoa and Liguria and in other cities and regions.
